This image is an experiment I did with Pixar's prman renderer. It represents fractal vegetable Romanesco Broccoli (Brassica Oleracea). The flower is composed of spirally arranged segments which are identical copies of the whole flower.
This experimental video was created as a final project for my procedural animation class at Savannah College of Art and Design. It was inspired by demoscene, "3D pipes" screensaver and sub-atomic particle collision images.
While making this piece, I intended to show wind turbines and farms. Symbioses of nature and technology seamed like a perfect story in context of clean energy. It was awarded with the first prize at the AWEA wind power conference in Pittsburgh.

This argumented sculpture is made from foam-core material and it is identical to virtual animated sculpture.
The animations are rendered trough a virtual camera that is matched to the video projector angle and lens. The final result is animated surface of a physical object.
This is a prototype for product showcase console. The animations of rotating objects appears to be floating in the mid-air thus creating the illusion of 3-dimensional presence of a real object. I did animations, lighting and part of the construction. There is an interactive version of the console were I did interaction programming using Adobe Director.
